Gene W. Brown Elementary

My name is Leah Gilchrist and I am currently in my seventeenth year of my teaching career. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Hanover College (Hanover, IN), where I was also a four-year, collegiate cross-country runner. I earned my Masters degree in Teaching and Learning, with an emphasis in Reading from Nova Southeastern University (FL), and I obtained an Instructional Coaching certificate from Lipscomb University as well. I am very thankful to be at Gene Brown, teaching third grade for eight years now. My husband, Andy, and I have enjoyed living in Hendersonville since 2006, and we have loved raising our two sons William (8yrs) and Wyatt (5yrs) here. In our free time, you can probably find us out boating on Old Hickory Lake, hiking, traveling, or cheering on the Indianapolis Colts!
