Supporting Families, Enriching Students
Our Before and After School Childcare Program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for elementary students outside of regular school hours. Designed with working families in mind, our program supports the needs of students and parents alike, offering dependable care that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth.
Open to all currently enrolled elementary students (Grades K–5) at participating schools.
What We Offer
If Applicable, Before School Program Includes:
- Quiet time for reading or homework
- Light breakfast/snack (availability may vary by site)
- Supervised recreational and social activities
- A calm transition into the school day
If Applicable, After School Program Includes:
- Healthy snacks provided daily
- Structured homework help and tutoring support
- Hands-on enrichment activities (arts, STEM, literacy, etc.)
- Outdoor play and indoor games to promote physical activity
- Character-building lessons and social-emotional learning
Program Goals
- Ensure student safety and supervision in a welcoming environment
- Provide academic support and enrichment opportunities
- Foster positive social interactions and emotional well-being
- Support working families by offering reliable extended care options
Enrollment and Fees
- Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and may vary by school site
- Weekly fees are determined based on program hours and may qualify for financial assistance through Tennessee's Child Care Certificate Program or other subsidies
- Discounts may be available for siblings or income-eligible families
Licensing and Staffing
- Programs follow Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) regulations
- All staff undergo background checks and receive training in CPR, first aid, and child development
- Staff-to-student ratios comply with state guidelines to ensure quality supervision
