Welcome to Gene Brown Elementary School!
Gene Brown Elementary is located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Built in 1956 as Hendersonville Elementary School, the school began its educational traditions under the leadership of the principal, Mr. Jack Anderson. Today, Gene Brown Elementary school is home to approximately 450 students and 35 teachers.
The faculty and staff at Gene Brown Elementary strive to create opportunities for all students to create lifelong memories. Some of the highlights of the 2017-2018 school year include the 3rd-5th grade students' musical production of Disney's Peter Pan, monthly "Wheels in Motion" bike giveaways sponsored by the Hendersonville Rotary Club, and family nights. The GBE Bobcat Singers Choir even got to visit Third Man Records and meet world famous musician, Jack White!
Students in upper grades at Gene Brown Elementary have numerous opportunities for extra curricular activities. These include the Art Club, Bobcat Singers Choir, National Junior Honor Society, Sign Club, and Student Council. The teachers and staff members at the school are involved in numerous learning opportunities around the county in order to provide the best and most current learning environment for our students.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our GBE family.
We are so excited about the new addition and renonvations that are going on at our school!
